Alkalizing Foods: A Heathy and Balanced Diet*

Eat these for good health:

  • Fresh fruits,
    including seeds and skin, if at all possible.
  • Raw and/or cooked
    vegetables
    by themselves or in vegetable soups (potatoes, squash, yams, celery, carrots, onion, avocado, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic etc.)
  • Salads with lots of leafy greens, cucumber, celery, and multicolored veggies such as bell pepper, radish, beet, carrots and more.
  • Whole grains, especially brown or wild rice, whole oats, whole grain rye, or buckwheat. If wheat, get whole wheat.
  • Legumes such as peas, lentils, black beans, garbanzo beans, or mung beans.
  • A variety of spices to flavor your favorite dishes such as sea salt, cayenne pepper, ginger, thyme, oregano, basil and more.
  • In small amounts, enjoy nuts and seeds such as cashews, sunflower, almonds, pistachios, pecans, or walnuts.
  • Lots of filtered (NOT bottled) water. Add lemon drops to your water, and drink coconut water for the electrolytes.
  • Herbal teas without any sweeteners, such as ginger, peppermint, or turmeric.
  • Water-based smoothies with greens and some fruit or berries for sweetness.
  • Plant-based protein powder, apple cider vinegar, hemp seeds, nutritional yeast powder and other superfoods.

Absolutely avoid these:

  • All extracted/bottled oils. Oils should come from eating avocados, olives, nuts, flaxseed; never from bottled oils, even if they are avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. Oils are known to cause inflammation and arterial damage.
  • Animal products including dairy, eggs, fish, chicken, pork, and beef; they are highly acidic to the body causing toxicity, inflammation and damaging cells.
  • Processed foods including sweets, fast food, and any artificially created food including "vegan" options which are loaded with oils, chemicals, and artificial ingredients.
  • Alcoholic drinks and sugary drinks including sodas; they are harmful to the body.

Supplement with these:
